I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!  With all of the shopping and preparations, it's hard to believe it's come and gone.  It was definitely nice to see some flurries yesterday! I'm all for a white Christmas!

Back to School Ideas

Hi All! I hope you are having a fabulous summer!  It always goes too quick, especially when you have to make up 6 days, thanks to power outages and snowstorms...ugh!  It makes summer seem so short.

 

Well, I just wanted to post a few ideas for the beginning of the school year in case you are starting to get back into it!  I always like to do name necklaces the first day of school so students can get to know one another and I can learn names quickly!  Also, in the past I have had students design a star with their likes and then I place them up on a bulletin board for Open House. They always come out so cute! 

 

One other activity I have my students do is to complete, "A Book About Me" the first week of school.  I find it so helpful in seeing the student's skills and to see who can work independently.
