Five for Friday!

Happy Friday!  Today, I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for my second Five for Friday!

Tonight my husband and I are going to an event in our town for us newcomers.  We moved in September and just joined the newcomers club. So fun that they have this in town!  Yes, it's the first time (in 6 months) since our little one was born that we are heading out on the town together.  My parents are coming to babysit and they are very excited!  It should be really fun! Apparently this country club is about $60,000 to join- Yikes!!! We won't be doing that!  But it will be fun to see it! Food and drinks- yum!!

I hosted my first giveaway last week and I had 100 entries! I thought that was pretty good for my first one! I see others that have about 4,000 entries so hopefully one day I will get there.  But overall I thought it was a good start!  Rafflecopter made it super easy! I'm already thinking about another one! Maybe if I get to 100 TpT followers I will throw my next one! I'm still more than 40 away though!

I just finished my newest product- First Grade Morning Work.  It covers math and literacy skills.  You can also use this for homework or assessment if you wish! I always like meaningful morning work because it reviews the skills I have taught and the kids know the routine right when they walk through the door.

So last week I posted about this rug I bought from overstock.com.  We finally just put it down last night and I love it! I was a little worried about ordering online without seeing it, but I would do it again! Then I got my new duvet cover and shams in yesterday! Love me some Pottery Barn! The house is finally coming together. I know it sounds boring, but when you have to decorate a house the little things feel good!

I love love love shoes, especially sandals! So I recently ordered a new pair of jack rogers and they just came in last night.  If you haven't heard of Rue La La, you're missing out! You should become a member! It's amazing! You can get such good deals! I know I still have several weeks before I break out the sandals, but I am getting ready!

Have a great weekend!!

Five for Friday!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for my very first Five for Friday! Woohoo! I love reading these posts so I decided to join in on the fun!

St. Patrick's Day always makes for a fun week! The kids just love looking for those leprechauns! I always find more kids ask to go to the bathroom on St. Patrick's Day because word travels that there is a leprechaun in the bathroom and they all want to see it! ha! So to celebrate the week, we did a bunch of activities from my new St. Patrick's Day Printables Packet. The kids really enjoyed them! We also made a super cute leprechaun math puppet!
I am hosting my first giveaway ever! You can have a chance to win a TpT gift certificate and a Free item from my store. It runs until next week, so I'd love for you to join in! Just click the picture below if you are interested or click here

My first graders are working on learning their math facts so I wanted to do something different and let me tell you they loved it!  I had them sort math facts on clothespins by sum.  I had all the facts in a pail and the kids had to dig through and sort.  Then they recorded them in a math fact booklet I made for them.  They loved it and were so bummed when the time was up! They said they needed more time so we will continue today!

So my husband and I bought a house in September and we are still in the process of buying some new furniture, so this week I finally bought a new rug for our living room.  I know it doesn't sound too exciting, but I'm pretty pumped, haha!
It should be in tomorrow! I have been looking for months for a rug in stores and finally decided to just order one online. I know it can be a little risky, but I decided to go for it and ordered this from overstock.com. It had great reviews, so we'll see soon enough!

I recently finished my newest product- Unscramble the Sentences and my students began working on them this week during word work.  The kids really enjoyed them, so next week I may send one home with their math homework or continue in centers. They did a really good job! Their handwriting is really improving!
Happy Friday!

Springtime Fun!

Oh how I love the warm weather!! Well I mean it's not quite here yet, but soon so soon!  What a tease, one day it's 50 then the next 12 degrees. Yikes!  At least it's not dark out at 5 anymore! Since spring is around the corner I figured it's time to make some "springy" activities for my students.  I'm always looking for different activities for my students to do during word work or center time.  So if you are feeling the same way grab my Springtime Fun- Unscramble the Sentences FREEBIE.  If you want more then check out my whole packet! It's a fun way to help students practice sentence structure! Happy Sunday!

Currently and a Freebie! Happy March!

I can't believe we are already in March! Now all we need is some warm weather PLEASE and some sun!
I'm excited to link up with Farley for the 2nd time! I don't know what happened but I totally missed the February one..bummer! But I'm glad to be back!

Listening:  HGTV is always on in our house on Sundays. My favorites are the Property Brothers, House Hunters, and Love it or List it.  Do they ever love the house?? I feel like they always choose to list it!  Maybe I need to start watching more!

Loving:  My brother and sister-in-law just moved last weekend and are only a few miles away now! Woohoo! And my nephew is on the way SOOO soon, like any day now.  I'm so excited my little girl is going to have a new cousin!

Thinking: It's been such a long weekend, I look forward to next weekend when we get to move our clocks ahead one hour.  I am ready for it to stay lighter outside.  I hated when it was dark at like 4:00 and it felt like it was 10! Lets just get some warmer weather!...oh New England!

Wanting:  I would love, love, love some more followers on Teachers Pay Teachers! My goal is to get to 100 so if anyone has any great advice on how you got your followers, I would SO appreciate it!

Needing:  Some furniture for our house. We moved in a couple of months ago and we are working on adding pieces slowly.  Sometimes I just feel like I can't find what I'm looking for. But a new rug and dining room table would be a start!

???????:  The answer to my question is 6 months.  Can you guess what my question is?!!
Have a great week!!!

Happy March!
