Five for Friday!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for my very first Five for Friday! Woohoo! I love reading these posts so I decided to join in on the fun!

St. Patrick's Day always makes for a fun week! The kids just love looking for those leprechauns! I always find more kids ask to go to the bathroom on St. Patrick's Day because word travels that there is a leprechaun in the bathroom and they all want to see it! ha! So to celebrate the week, we did a bunch of activities from my new St. Patrick's Day Printables Packet. The kids really enjoyed them! We also made a super cute leprechaun math puppet!
I am hosting my first giveaway ever! You can have a chance to win a TpT gift certificate and a Free item from my store. It runs until next week, so I'd love for you to join in! Just click the picture below if you are interested or click here

My first graders are working on learning their math facts so I wanted to do something different and let me tell you they loved it!  I had them sort math facts on clothespins by sum.  I had all the facts in a pail and the kids had to dig through and sort.  Then they recorded them in a math fact booklet I made for them.  They loved it and were so bummed when the time was up! They said they needed more time so we will continue today!

So my husband and I bought a house in September and we are still in the process of buying some new furniture, so this week I finally bought a new rug for our living room.  I know it doesn't sound too exciting, but I'm pretty pumped, haha!
It should be in tomorrow! I have been looking for months for a rug in stores and finally decided to just order one online. I know it can be a little risky, but I decided to go for it and ordered this from overstock.com. It had great reviews, so we'll see soon enough!

I recently finished my newest product- Unscramble the Sentences and my students began working on them this week during word work.  The kids really enjoyed them, so next week I may send one home with their math homework or continue in centers. They did a really good job! Their handwriting is really improving!
Happy Friday!

Every new thing we fix up or buy is SO exciting so I totally understand about the rug : ) You must post a picture after you get it! I love your unscramble the sentences! I did a similar activity recently in my Kinder skills groups and they did really well so I might have to purchase to use with them!

  7. Hi Andrea
I nominated your blog for the Liebster Award. I was nominated, so now I get to nominate some blogs! All of the information is on my blog if you want to participate. I read online that it's a way to get teaching blogs with fewer than 200 followers noticed..
